That moment when… Nannan cuts your dress so you That moment when… Nannan cuts your dress so you can party ⚡️✂️ Day 6 of @kimwilliamsweddings #adventweddingchallenge2023 and we couldn’t not share the moment Pippa’s Nannan pulled the scissors out to cut the bottom off her dress so Pip could dance! Seriously one of my fave moments from this year and the perfect example of just thinking ’f*ck it’ on your wedding day and just going for it because all that matters is having the best time 💃🏻🔥

It’s a celebration of two people and their love, surrounded by all their fave people having a good time 🕺🏻🧡 It can be so easy to get sucked into the ‘serious’ side of wedding stuff. But the best piece of advice we can give for the day is to let go and fully embrace the love and the laughs. Ya know… Live, Love, Laugh n all that 😂
The feminist choices we made for our wedding! ⚡️ Today’s prompt for #adventweddingchallenge2023 is Break the Mould and it inspired me to share what we did for our wedding. When planning our diy wedding for earlier this year we knew didn’t want to do some of the more patriarchal wedding traditions, and instead chose to make our own that better fit us and our relationship 🧡 Ideas for feminist weddings: ✨ Making joint decisions and equal responsibility when planning ✨ Consider alternatives to being ‘given away’. Walking down the aisle could be done with both parents, just one parent, your siblings, your children, on your own. Or you could both walk down together! ✨ Think about the wording for your ceremony. Does it suit you both and your relationship? If not then change it up! 💥 ✨ People other than just men doing speeches! 🙌🏻 Brides, mums, sisters, your non-binary bestie. Let’s mix it up! No one was going to speak on my behalf on our wedding day! 😅👊🏻 ✨ Have a conversation with your partner about how you both feel about your surnames and what your possible options could be ✨ Make sure your wedding represents you both and the things you love. Day 3 of #adventweddingchallenge2023 from @kimwill Day 3 of #adventweddingchallenge2023 from @kimwilliamsweddings is confetti!! 🎉 It gets everywhere and you’ll definitely be picking it out of your mouth, hair, ears and underwear but it’s the best and totally worth it! It’s probably one of the only actual old traditions that we’d actively encourage you to do! It’s the best way to kick off the celebrations after the ceremony, makes amazing photos and who doesn’t like throwing things at people?! Confetti top tips: 🎉 You can never have enough! The more the merrier 🎉 Baskets work well so guests can grab a good chunky handful 🎉 Walk slow and enjoy being showered with love (and confetti) 🎉 ‘Up not at’ is what we try to encourage guests to do when throwing it. Although you will definitely have one mate who wants to aim for your face or an aunty who shoves a handful down your top. But it’s all part of the fun and they do make funny photos! 🤪 🎉 Paper or dried petals, whichever you prefer looks great… just think about the Earth and keep it biodegradable✌🏻no throwing tiny pieces of plastic plz 🙏🏻 🎉 Check out our diy confetti story highlight if you wanna know how to make your own dried petal confetti 🎉 If your venue doesn’t allow confetti, think outside the box! What else could you do instead? Bubbles, ribbon wands, ringing bells, or even a tunnel of guests playing kazoos?! Whatever you choose, just don’t let venue restrictions get in the way of your fun and celebrations!
Show yo face… is the day 2 prompt for #adventwed Show yo face… is the day 2 prompt for #adventweddingchallenge2023 so we thought it was about time we reintroduce ourselves! We’re Meg and Scott 👋🏻 - We’ve been together 10 years after meeting on a uni trip to Paris where Meg stalked Scott. - We got married back in July and had a very diy wedding on our garden and then danced our socks off *see last pic* at village hall across the road (Meg literally couldn’t walk for 2 weeks after 😅). It really was the best day ever. - Going through the experience of our own wedding has definitely inspired how we work (for the better!) - We love animals, coffee, being outdoors, camping, charity shops and secondhand finds. The majority of things for our wedding were found secondhand (including my dress and Scott’s suit - both from @vinted) - We’re parents to our wild child daughter, fluffy poodle Larry, shoulder cat Nina and flock of naughty chickens. - We’ve been shooting weddings for nearly 8 years now and we absolutely love it. - See slide 4 for how you’ll normally see us on zoom and at weddings, just a bit less fancy than our wedding pics 😅 - Relaxed, personal and fun weddings are our jam. Colourful! Starting strong on day 1 of the #advent Colourful! Starting strong on day 1 of the #adventweddingchallenge2023 with a celebration of colour from some of this years weddings. Neon signs, our clear love for Sheffield’s red doors, fun bridesmaids dresses, red velvet bridal shoes, THAT cake, Sheff street art, pride flags, amazing florals, and dance floor antics 🌈 Shout out to @kimwilliamsweddings for doing her #adventweddingchallenge again and getting us inspired to share more of our work from this year 🧡
