Rachel + David - Shepherd’s Cottage at Wantisden Valley, Suffolk
Rachel and David got married at the magical Shepherd’s Cottage at Wantisden Valley in Suffolk, surrounded by an amazing medieval woodland. And what a beautiful day it was! The small thatched cottage was the perfect place for their intimate and relaxed day. Not wanting a big ‘do’, Rachel and David chose to have a small celebration in the daytime surrounded by their closest loved ones. Filled with so many lovely personal touches that represented them as a couple; from Rachel’s Moonmin converse, to each guest bringing a book as a wedding gift, their matching infinity bracelets which they exchanged as well as rings, personalised picnic crates for each family filled with local food, a handwritten song by the best man to which he asked everyone to sign as their final gift and lots of homemade cakes. Even when the weather changed and it started to rain during the picnic, it didn’t stop the celebrations. Everyone moved inside the cottage, apart from a couple of the bridesmaids who decided to dance in the rain instead!
We absolutely loved being part of this special day, from chatting to Rachel for months over email to then finally meeting them both, this was such a wonderful wedding to be part of and we’ve loved looking back through the photos again.
Rachel and David’s day proved that a wedding doesn’t have to look a certain way, include every wedding tradition or even have an evening reception. It’s just about celebrating with all your loved ones in a way that represents you as a couple and is full of the things you love!
